Safety

Of course we want to do this project safely and will be working more on this as we go along. Some key points so far are:
  1. We won't fly near people. We will be over the ocean as we leave the runway and head North. Landing we briefly cross some land far from people.
  2. Sizeable plane - around 1/3rd the wingspan of a Cessna 172. It won't be hard to see.
  3. Fly below clouds. Clouds always above St Marten which is 1,125 feet. If we fly below 1,000 feet any airplane can see us. No regular airplane will fly below 5000 feet far out over the ocean North of Anguilla.
  4. Daytime flights only.
  5. Flashing red and green lights.
  6. Will try to keep contact with the plane all the time. Video when within cell rang of Anguilla or Sat starts working Not flying over land except tiny bit before landing. May get a cell tower on Sobrero with directional antenna along a path that we fly. May use satellite data link, in particular after sats can talk with regular cell phones in a year or so.
  7. Remote ID broadcast module for drones
  8. It might make sense to inform Anguilla control tower of flights.
