You can see this area on google maps. There is like a 15 MPH headwind most of the time here. For an RC airplane landing at 20 to 30 MPH airspeed this makes about 5 to 15 MPH groundspeed, and very easy landings.
This is a 12 foot by 60 foot geotextile on top of grass/sand as a test runway. Expect to make a much larger landing strip but maybe similar. Might also do a concrete runway.

Our runway is in the top right part of Anguilla, outside the restricted air zone.
We had a backhoe takeout some of the bush and smooth things down a bit. We need to smooth it down more and then plant some grass on it. But we should end up with a nice wide soft grass runway aimed into a nice steady wind.
